A last minute cancellation by my boss to attend the opening dinner reception at Alain Ducasse's new Tokyo restaurant Benoit left open a space for yours truly to stop by and enjoy a truly elegant and memorable dinner. The tenth-floor view of Aoyama took the cake, the food was exemplary and champagne flowed freely. I wish I could have talked more with the chefs and Alain himself instead of with the uppity old fogies who I shared a table with. jusqu'à la fois prochaine!

Mme Ninapod,
and here I was, thinking Alain himself was an uppity old fogie!
Comme j'erroné étais!
Vache idiote que je suis!
This is so funny. Did you realize you are married, according to that card. It should be Mlle. Uchida (Mademoiselle), but what the heck, maybe that protected you from some old fogies.
Where are my daughters learning to speak francais!!!
